- It helps the MCG manage traffic.
As per 3GPP, there are 4 types of 5G cells.
Primary Cell (PCell)
- It’s always active and maintains your connection.
Primary Secondary Cell (PSCell)
- It bridges 4G and 5G during dual connectivity.
Secondary Cell (SCell)
- SCell adds bandwidth for extra capacity.
Special Cell (SpCell)
- SpCell manages priority signals within the SCG.
5G works because every part has a purpose.
