It is still crucial.
- Emergencies rely on it.
- Businesses need it daily.
- People expect it to just work.
But making VoNR work isn’t easy.
Here are more reasons which make VoNR difficult.
- Standalone 5G is patchy in many places.
- Not all phones support VoNR yet.
- Networks need costly upgrades.
- Switching from LTE to 5G isn’t seamless.
- Most users don’t notice these changes.
But here’s the GOOD news:
Progress is happening.
- Operators are expanding 5G coverage fast.
- Phone makers now push VoNR-ready devices.
- Global standards improve compatibility everywhere.
I get it - it seems small compared to big 5G ideas.
But leaving the VoNR behind?
That risks breaking everything.
It’s the foundation for a fully connected future.
