Can different SCS be assigned to SSB and PDSCH in 5G NR?

Hello Experts.

Is it possible to assign different SCS for SSB and PDSCH in 5g NR?

For example: 1 (15 kHz) for SSB and 2 (60 kHz) for PDSCH?

Yes, it’s possible.

Thanks!

Can you help to learn about different configuration?

Is there any documents describing this?

First of all nobody uses 60 kHz SCS, it is mainly applicable for MBMS service.

For FR1 (say n78), all the operators are using 30 kHz SCS for both SSB as well as PDSCH.

For FR2, operators keep 120 kHz for PDSCH and 120 or 240 kHz for SSB.

I think SCS can be defined for SSB only.

Also for PDCCH in MIB by option SCS for common IE.

For PDSCH there is no option seen.

60 kHz is applicable for PDCCH channel not for SSB SCS.

In SIB1 you can define the SCS for PDSCH.

Oh, thanks.

What IE / parameter name for it?

‘Subcarrierspacing’ within “servingcellconfigcommon” of SIB1.

It’s for SSB SCS only…

For PDSCH SCS I don’t think it’s there…
