Hi All…How is switching happens between Open loop and closed loop power control in UL…Can anybody plz explain
Do you have more details like what sort of changes made in that?
Ericsson has fixed the Alpha value to 1.
Any feature details?
Different values for pucch and pusch but more important as per algo are target sinr, max/min target sinr, rf path loss.
Alpha used in OLPC
Alpha is which tells what fraction of PL will be used, its irrespective if OLPC or CLPC.
In LTE Alpha can have different values from 0, 0.4 …. till 1.
But in 5G this value is fixed to 1 by Ericsson
My question was whether any other end has implemented CLPC in 5G, if yes what Alpha value they are using.
We are using it as .7/.8 in lab setups.
I use alpha1 in CLPC but if you use alpha 0.8 your cell center UL Thr will be better but cell edge more power limited in case of Ul256qam enabled.
In Nokia you can tune alpha based on cell center and edge thr.
Seems like Nokia 5G still has flexibility on Alpha value.
I was trying to figure out the reason why Ericsson fixed its value to 1, & do not has option to change it.
