Hello Experts.

Please for Huawei vendor, what is the difference between GBTS and eGBTS?

As far as i can remember:
GBTS : version B support elements 2G & 3G
eGBTS : version D support elements 2G & 3G & LTE with new versions

  • GBTS : Means That BTS works with 2G band
  • eGBTS : Means That BTS 4G works with 2G Band
  • NodeB : Means That BTS works with 3G band
  • eNodeB : Means That BTS works with 4G band
  • gNodeB: Means That BTS works with 5G band
  • BTS : The Cabinet sometimes includes more than BBU Module at the same time , Perhaps for 2G Only or 3G or 4G or 5G or Both
  • G : GSM Band and e : LTE Band and g: 5G band
  • GSM : Global system for mobile communications
  • LTE : Long Term Evolution
