I have a query with respect to the device waking up on the radio frame where paging occasion exists. The device, upon initial access, will be frequency and time synchronized with the camped on cell. The device knows the configured DRX cycle.
If default paging cycle is set as 128 rf, this means that the device wakes up every 128th rf to monitor paging information. 128 rf = 1280 ms = 1.28 s.
So, the device, in idle state, wakes up every 1.28 seconds, to check for paging notification.
So, after waking at 0th rf, the device next wakes up at 128th rf. When the device wakes up at the 0th rf, it calculates on which radio frame to find the paging occasion and hence, checks the rf#76.
This is my query:
Does the device remain woke till 760 ms, from the time it initially woke up (look for the P-RNTI, decode the CRC, and subsequently, read the DCI format for paging)?
