Hello Guys.

Have anyone studied about the difference in beamset usage for SSB?

I’m trialing with beamset change from 5_1 to 6_0 and seeing considerable increase in UE distance and coverage in Nokia system with not much impact on SNR.

What do you mean by incresse in UE distance and coverage?

Ok: Coverage and TA (UE distance is the counter).

You are removing sector beam by making 6_0.

So coverage might get reduced in some cases.

But TA I am not sure why it is increased.

I doubt 0 in 6_0 is not Sector beam, it is the 2nd row of beam …
5_1 will have first row with 5 beams and 1 beam in 2nd row
6_0 will have all 6 beams in first row

Single row beams will have lower Rank than
Multiple row beams but at the expense of coverage
