I have a query regarding the eRAB switching process during X2 handover.
The Target eNB has already established the S1 bearer with the SGW in the uplink direction by using the UE context received via the Handover Request message.
Following this, the S1 bearer with the SGW is formed in the downlink direction during the HO completion phase via the Modify Bearer Request sent from the MME to the SGW.
Here I have a doubt that why the ERAB needs to be switched in the uplink direction between the Target eNB and the SGW through pathswitchrequestacknowledge message.
Could you please clarify the reason for this ERAB switching requirement in the uplink direction?
Please correct me if I am wrong.
