Ericsson BSCs Not Sending Performance Files

Hello Ericsson Experts,

I need your support to resolve an issue with my Ericsson BSCs. The network performance files are not being reported to our MAPS-based reporting server.

This problem began after a power outage at our main office, which caused the ENM server to go down. Although the server has since been restored, the BSCs and RNCs are still not sending statistical data.

Please advise on potential causes and steps to resolve this issue.

Probable Cause

There is a communication failure between the APG and the remote host.

Problem Data

  • The directory has reached its pre-defined storage limit.
  • The directory contains files that exceed the pre-defined age limit.

Hi,

New files should be sent as expected. If they are not, try deactivating and reactivating the task in PMIC to resolve the issue.

You may also locate the PMIC directory in the OSS file system and clean up any old or unnecessary ZIP files to free up space and ensure proper functionality.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Verify PM File Generation
    • Check if the BSC is generating PM files and identify the destination where these files are being sent.
  2. Confirm PMIC Configuration
    • Ensure the required BSCs are available in the PMIC count.
  3. Restart PMIC Task
    • Try restarting the PMIC task to resolve any potential issues.
  4. Validate Destination Consistency
    • Compare the destination being used by the BSC to ensure it matches the configured destination in the PMIC.

Thank you, everyone, for your valuable recommendations. I will implement them step by step and provide feedback accordingly.
