How do I force UE to do reselection to other cell and not selection?

Hi 5G/LTE Experts.

I’m trying to validate if my real UE is doing reselection and not selection, by 5G QXDM QCAT logs.

I can’t see any interpretation when my UE moving from cell to other cell if it is reselection or selection.

I need to force my UE to do reselection and not selection.

Any idea how do I validate if my UE while moving to other cell does reselection and not selection?

Or in other words how do I force UE to do reselection to other cell and not selection?

If reselection then RSRP does not drop below -qrxlevmin dBm.

If selection then RSRP drops below qrxlevmin.

When you say drop you mean when UE move to other cell, if UE moves and camp to other cell if it has RSRP lower than qrxlevmin dBM then its selection?

Selection and reselection happens in idle mode, not in connected mode.

qrxlevmin for me is -130

You mean when UE in idle mode then moves to other cell, now it’s RSRP after UE moves to other cell shall be higher / equal than qrxlevmin then it is reselection?

Cell selection is only at power-on.

After that it works just reselection or not working reselection.

Not sure you can test reselection in a shield box.
