How does gNB indicate session AMBR to UE?

Hello Experts.

How does gNB indicate session AMBR to UE?

Any IEs?

Admin note: this post was updated with image below.

It can be seen in PDU establishment accept message.

I see this in PDU session resource setup (AMF-> gNB)

50:DL and 50:UL

And will gNB indicate in reconfig?

No!

It won’t reflect in RRC reconfiguration message.

My bad… it will be NAS message.

So who enforces UL PDU session AMBR?

Not sure… expecting some response from 5G core guys here in forum.

Yes.

I want to understand… Will gNB have any role to play in UL PDU session AMBR?

As UE will receive the info as a NAS message…

I think UL PDU Session AMBR is defined in the SMF, no role of gNB.

Thanks!

Even I think the same. This is my understanding based on spec.
