How we can check that the CE card is congested in 4G?

How we can check that the CE card is congested in 4G Huawei or ZTE?

Means, by which counter

Admin note: this post was updated with image below.

CE congestion% CE available vs total CE utilized.

Yes, but how we can check total CE utilised%?

Please search in PRS (For Huawei), you can get the shared CE available, and shared CE used.

I don’t know the exact counters names.

In ZtE u31 search in the parameters KPIs.

In Huawei use PRS and search the KPI as mentioned.

CE resource is shared by group of cell.

Some baseband boards are combined into a group for providing CE resource.

CE capacity & utilization should be calculated per group.

RNC & nodeB both have counters for CE capacity & usage, but at nodeB is more correct as CE consumption & allocation real-time by nodeB.

Please find for ZTE baseband resources:

Thanks!

We allocated one baseband card for 2G + 3G & 4G while inserting 2nd baseband card.

Throughput and traffic has been increased, but I am confused that why the utilization rate is about 14% before inserting 2nd card.

It should be about 90 or 100 %.

And throughput is increased:

You are using counter for average value, use peak value which gives more clear picture.

And Also Control plane Utilization is more than user plane.

In the chart given you are taking user plane utilization.

Thanks!

Do you mean that 30% of Baseband card assigned to LTE?

Did you check Aggregation level 1, 2, 4, 8 utilization trend?

Yes this is LTE part utilization.

If there are two cards and total 3 LTE cells then cells on same card will have same utilization and the third cell will have different utilization.

This Counter is cell Level.
