Hi Experts,
I’m writing below few important messages in NR over Uu, F1ap, X2ap
- SCG failure information send UE to menb
- UE modification required send on F1ap
- sgnb release required send from SCG to UE over x2ap

F1AP Protocol in 5G
F1AP (F1 Application Protocol) in 5G is the protocol used for communication between the Centralized Unit (CU) and Distributed Unit (DU) over the F1 interface. It plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient network performance.
Signaling :
F1AP is responsible for managing signaling messages between CU and DU, like a traffic cop directing vehicles at an intersection. For example, when you initiate a call , F1AP ensures that the necessary information is exchanged between the CU and DU to establish the call successfully.
Resource management :
F1AP helps allocate resources, like a project manager . When you stream a video , F1AP oversees the allocation of necessary resources, such as bandwidth and radio frequency, between the CU and DU to ensure a smooth streaming experience.
Error handling :
F1AP is responsible for detecting and handling errors within the F1 interface. Imagine F1AP as a firefighter , ready to tackle any issues that arise to keep the 5G network running smoothly.
Mobility management :
F1AP aids in managing user mobility within the network. For example, when you travel by train while watching a video, F1AP ensures that your connection is handed over between different DUs without interrupting the video playback.
Synchronization :
F1AP helps maintain synchronization between the CU and DU, similar to a conductor ensuring musicians play in harmony. This synchronization is vital for providing a seamless user experience in the 5G network.
In summary, F1AP is the key protocol for communication and coordination between the CU and DU in the 5G network, ensuring smooth and efficient network performance .
