Is it possible to configure more than one LAC in a TAC?
In both LTE and UMTS networks, a TAC or LA is associated with one LAC.
The LAC is used to identify the group of cells within the TAC or LA.
Therefore, it is not possible to configure more than one LAC within a single TAC, as this would cause conflicts in the identification and tracking of mobile devices.
It has to be one to one mapping in my understanding.
A LAC can have multiple TACs but it is not recommended vice versa.
In PS Core each TAC is mapped to a single LAC either 3G or 2G.
