LTE Carrier Aggregation enabled on sites with only 1 LTE layer

Hi Guys,

I would like to understand, apart from having unnecessary CA signaling/control resources reserved in an ENB with direct impact on UL throughput, what other disadvantage can we have if CA features (CA/3CC/4CC/Dyn Scell Selection…) are enabled in the node and there is only one layer?
