LTE Uplink power control from the perspective of network operators

Hi Experts,

Can network operators finely control the uplink signal power of a UE connected to their eNBs?
For example, the network operator keeps sending DCI0 which conveys TCP command to make UE increase its uplink signal power until reaching maximum level.
Is there any documents about that?

Is anyone running a 4G Ericsson network with Uplink Fractional power control?

That means alpha not 1 but 0.7 or similar.

Hi, I have tried it in two different networks but honestly, have not achieved any notable gains.

At least we should see the UE running with less battery and less interference in UL.

Also UL throughput should be lower.

Yeah, UE Power Limited Ratio (UEs Running with higher power) is the one indicator that gives us the hint.

UL Throughput on the OSS hardly values.

Drive Test Results should be the reference.

Note: pZeroNominPusch must be adjusted accordingly, else the KPIs will be degraded badly. Alpha should not be touched alone.
