Hi Experts.
I have a problem with a UE trying access my 5G network.
It’s missing ca-BandwidthClassUL-NR.
Has anyone seen this problem?
3GPP said that it is OPTIONAL…
But the main question is: does it cause any problem during the 5G access?
Hi Experts.

Hello Cesar.
This is not a problem. In this case, UE does not support sending data UL on Scell, only receiving.
OK. But I don´t have N78 in my network…only B3+B7_N1
If you don’t see this combination on UECAPAINFO, so this combination is not configured and UÉ code
Here you have highlighted UL, which is anyways optional unless UL CA activated.
CA should not cause any problem in 5G access.
The parameters you are showing are given to UE after ATTACH is successful.
Infact they are activated using MAC CE when UE is already having AS security activated.
Till that time you are already on 5G N/w.
If this do not give your answer then please re-phrase your question?
This is from UE to eNB trying to access the 5G. Its missing UL in N1.
The question: Is it cause any problem during the SgnB add Request?
The degradation in the SgNB Addition Success Rate is being caused by that, the SgNB fails due to the CAPability of the EU in N1 by having only the DL band reserve, not having the UL.
Is it correct?
Why talking about degradation here, if UE is not reporting UL CA capability then Network will not activate UL CA for that particular band?
Because I have a problem with UE CAPABILITY KPI.
N.NsaDc.SgNB.Add.Fail.Radio.UeCapability
Some are trying to find the reason to UE CAPABILITY problem and found that…but I think that it not this UE.
It’s Ok.
Ok, got it.
What’s the CA configuration integrated on this network?
I have B3-B7_N1.
Yes, it is normal.
This DL class doesn’t cause any problems with 5G access.
In the lab area, we use to activate 5 to 10 supported band (with this n number of bandwidth class we can see in UE capability), we have not face this issue.
Thank You!
I have one more question: My network has B3-B7_N1 only.
We other UE trying access our 5G using this B3_N77. What happen in this case?
Can it cause a problem with N.NsaDc.SgNB.Add.Fail.Radio.UeCapability
counter?
I think you need to get the components of this counter, then youll get all possible reasons for the failures
Refer some HEDEX or any Huawei Experts.
Analysing the reasons to “N.NsaDc.SgNB.Add.Fail.Radio.UeCapability” increase:
The question is: What happen with theses two types of UEs trying to access my 5G (N1)?
So far, the answer about the UE-2:
The degradation in the SgNB Addition Success Rate is being caused by
that, the SgNB fails due to the Capability of the UE in N1 by having only the DL band reserve, not having the UL.
Is it correct about UE-2?
Cesar, I think you need to focus on @eta004 question.
What are the possible reasons for UECapaInfo failure on this RAN vendor? How does this counter increses/increments?
So far, UECAPAINFO message, although your network does not have N78 band combination, device is only informing its capabilities, so it does it may not be considered as a failure.
