Offload traffic from eNodeB macro sites to small cells

Dear Experts.

Please suggest parameters to offload traffic from eNB macro sites to small cells.

Scenario is: multiple smallcells are deployed at event location to cover approx 3k simultaneous users along with macro eNB.

Below parameter changes done

  1. CIO change (HO delay from small cell to eNB)
  2. RS power boost (small cells)
  3. Tx attenuation on eNB carrier.

Please.suggest what else can be done.

Vendor is Samsung.

My PERSONAL opinion is to not use manually the CIO adjustment, better use some AMO feature.

About the loading of the small cells, you have to control it using the layer management strategy.

Verify your connected priority and cell reselection priority values, put higher values to small cells and lower values to macro cells.

Take in consideration the offload features.

AMO feature was not working efficiently, so we have tuned manually and for connected mode priority which parameter to be tuned?
