I have one Ericsson sites with 100% availability.
But only 3 of its 9 cells are carrying traffic.
No alarm, no board error.
What could be the reason?

Do you see PRACH attempts on other cells?
Are all sectors facing general population?
Can this parameter be checked on the baseband or in RNC?
The site is in an area with a medium-sized population.
Let me check the 4G data traffic.
Maybe the people there do not really use 3G.
Yes, that is a possibility.
Were you talking about 3G?
3G parameters you can check at RNC.
You can check other parameters like RTWP counters.
If these are showing average noise then that means cell is live.
Firstly ask RAN team to perform soft reset of this BTS/NodeB.
Perform Drive test across those cells or take cell trace…
