pmMiMimoSleepIn counter increase

Hi Friends.

What to do in this case?

pmMiMimoSleepIn increased

Vendor is Ericsson

What is the description of that counter please?

I can not find it online.

I also couldn’t find it, so I shared it here.

Llolz, what’s the point of plotting it then?

Check Ericsson documentation.

However, if you are looking to optimise Rank 2 MIMO, there will be very little you can change.

MIMO is highly dependent on various factors like: devices in the area, mechanism devices use to determine MIMO, radio conditions, eNBs RRM etc.

Most of these factors are difficult to quantify so difficult to do any useful optimisation.

You can look at eNB RRM and see if Ericsson allows any parameters to change MIMO allocation.

My guess is you will not find any, since most these are hardcoded.

Also any changes will likely increase BLER so you need to factor that in.

Number of times Machine Intelligence Enabled MIMO Sleep Mode feature enters or continues sleep mode.

One of my friends sent this to me to ask the reason for dragging this counter.

So I thought this can be a topic on this counter.

That’s why I shared it here.

That’s alright mate, I was joking.

We are here to help and share knowledge. So all good.

I have shared my thoughts on the topic above. :+1:

It looks like this counter is showing the effect, rather the cause.

What may be good idea to plot MIMO against BLER, RSRQ, SINR, RSRP counters.

Hello

1-Check if this problem is in one cell or the adjacent cells too.
2-Then check the Sleep Mode Settings, adjust the parameters controlling the sleep mode to ensure they are balanced between energy savings and network performance.
This might involve fine-tuning the thresholds for entering and exiting sleep mode.
I think  this counter pmMiMimoSleepIn tracks how often the system enters a low-power or sleep mode.
