Dear Experts.

Intra frequency X2 LTE HOSR is degraded on multiple Cells.

After analysis we found Preparation level Failure observed.

Further observed with two neighbor cells on which HO.InterEnbX2IntraFreqOutPrepFail.HOTimeOut counters is increased.

Checkpoint:

  • External definition - properly defined no issue found.

  • Parametric level on standard

  • No TAC Boundies

What Further can we check on this case or any paramter to reduce this failure?

Check if you have no problems on target cell: congestion, too many RRC established, PUCCH, SRS resources etc.

Do you have PCAP to share?

No congestion on neighbor cells PUCCH and SRS.

Maybe X2 is not available on the target side toward source.

X2 is availble.

Did you find only with Only Target Cell?

Did you check that the Target Cell having any issue of Incoming Handover?

There are multiple cells.

Review and optimize handover parameters such as A3, A5 thresholds, and TimeToTrigger values. These parameters can significantly impact the handover success rate

Analyse if any interference issues that might be affecting the handover process.
