Any suggestion for RACH optimization in 5G NR, NSA

Actually we are getting drops due to random access failures.

  • RAMP up power
  • Max trans premable
  • RSI
  • Optimize above

Also would like to add:

  1. UL interference analysis (especially for UL PRBs which carry PRACH)
  2. Try to increase SINR in UL (checks on e.tilts / UL load and other basic things should not be forgot to check)

3 Parameters are essential for PRACH Power Optimization in 5G:

  • Initial preamble target power: initial UE Power
  • Power ramp step: Power step
  • No of preamble transmission: Max no of retransmission
