Hello experts!
Please help us understand how we can find triggers in the BSC to determine the Causes from the pcap-trace? For example, cause ‘No radio resources available’ for Handover (from 4G to 2G).
All counters indicating a lack of resources show zero, i.e. there are no overloads, etc. May be it will be SW block or value of the block, etc.
Thanks in advance!
I believe you will need a pcap with all the NEs implicated in the operation. If not it will be difficult.
Hello @Jr_Mg ,
Thanks for your attention. I have many pcap traces, but need to find which SW block is triggers on the BSC for the cause of HO reject. Find which trace the system (test system; ) need to execute on the BSC. Thank in advance!
Ok, so the messages with it’s IE need to be considered because that is the input output of the NE. Now in 3GPP standard all this cause are described but not always can show you where exactly the problem is. So to understand it better you should analyze the callflow with all the NE involved because sometimes the issue is not in the NE replying with a message with the IE cause that you name.
Dear @Jr_Mg ,
Thank you so much for your comments!
Then the question is, is there such a counter on BSC Ericsson that shows the success and the total number of attempts of SRVCC 4G to 2G? I could not find a unique counter for SRVCC in the ELEX documents.
No idea, but if you didnt found in elex maybe there’s not such a counter
Thanks for your comments.
It turns out that it is impossible to evaluate the success of a 4G handover from BSC statistics, and it is impossible to find a trigger (counter) that can trigger rejections with these handovers…
