Can anyone tell the use of DRX besides batter saving?

Only battery saving, but this is necessary for Apple Certificate.

For iPhone users, Apple co. put acondition to use DRX to give the certificate for Operators, as the iPhones battery achieve its standard.

To avoid frequent paging in idle mode to save signaling too.

Thanks! Paging itself helps in Idle mode DRX.
I am concerned about CDRX.
