What are SDIF Antennas?

Hello Experts.

Has anyone heard of Huawei’s SDIF antennas?

Are they proprietary to Huawei, or is it a type of antenna that other vendors can also use?

SDIF (Signal Direct Injection Feeding) antennas are a specialized technology developed by Huawei to improve the energy efficiency of antennas used in wireless networks. By optimizing the way signals are fed into the antenna, SDIF reduces internal energy loss and boosts overall RF efficiency. This results in better precision for beamforming and an increase in network capacity, which can help reduce power consumption by 15-25%.

These antennas are part of Huawei’s push for greener network solutions, offering energy savings while maintaining high performance. The technology is proprietary to Huawei and is used in several of their antenna lines, such as the Eco and Meta series, which focus on sustainability and operational efficiency. While this technology is not available to other vendors, it serves as a key innovation for operators deploying Huawei equipment in their networks.
