CORE KPI IN 5G and what are the Measurements?

Here you have those for 4G, maybe some expert can share for 5G…

(KPIs) related to the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) in a 4G LTE network:

  • Signaling KPIs:

    • Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR): This measures the percentage of call attempts that are successfully established.
    • Call Drop Rate (CDR): This measures the percentage of calls that are dropped before completion.
    • handover Success Rate: This measures the percentage of successful handovers between cells during a call.

  • Packet Transfer KPIs:

    • End-to-End Throughput: This measures the average rate of successful data transfer between user equipment (UE) and the core network.
    • Packet Delay (Latency): This measures the time it takes for a data packet to travel from the UE to the core network and back.

  • Resource Utilization KPIs:

    • ERAB Establishment Success Rate: This measures the percentage of successful attempts to establish an EPS Bearer (E-RAB) which is a logical connection for packet switched bearers.
    • Packet Switched Call Completion Rate (PSCCR): This measures the percentage of packet switched calls that are successfully completed.
