What are the hardware criteria for implementing RAN sharing for 2G, 3G, and 4G?

When implementing RAN sharing with an operator for RAN 2G, 3G and 4G, what are the criteria for choosing hardware?

  • For transmission, RAN need to support connected with 02 different CN by VLAN or seperate physical links.
  • For radio, MOCN mode is 1 cell shared for some operators, by broadcast some plmn in sib1, need feature.
  • MORAN mode: BTS active 2 cells for 2 operators, main criteria is in hardware capability of RRU, BBU.
    • BBU need to check enough capability for new cells or not.
    • RRU need to consider its capability about: cell qty, output power, IBW/OBW
