What is PDCP Control Data?

Hi, for LTE Experts, 1 query:
There is D/C bit on PDCP PDU which indicates it’s PDCP data or PDCP control data.
Can anyone tell what this PDCP control data?

As per my readings, this PDCP Control Data is different from c-plane data (.i.e RRC/NAS data on SRB).

PDCP data has 2 types:

– data PDU:

  • PDCP SN
  • User-plane data DRB
  • Control-plane data SRB
  • MAC-I for integrity protection

– control PDU:

  • PDCP status report
  • ROHC feedback information
