Hi Experts,
What is pscell and spcell in NSA?
spcell is your 5G cell.
primary 5G cell.
pscell is your primary serving cell in LTE.
spcell is like secondary group primary cell.
In logs you will see lot spcell.
SCG: the secondary cell group (SCG) of the NSA UE is an NR cell group configured on the NR side.
PCell: The primary cell (PCell) of the NSA UE is a cell that is served by the MeNB and that the UE is camping on.
PSCell: The primary SCG cell (PSCell) of the NSA UE is a primary cell that is served by the SgNB and configured for the UE through an RRC message sent by the MeBN. The PSCell statys active so long as it is configured successfully.
SCell: A secondary cell (SCell) of the NSA UE is a cell configured for the UE through an RRC message sent by the MeNB. This cell can provide the UE with additional radios resources.
Like rrc reconfig in nsa is pscell after x2 to gnb link as an example.
After sgnb reconfig is your spcell.
From enb to gnb.
Spcell = pcell + pscell
Spcell support pucch transmission & contention base random access.
Pcell, pscell, scell, spcell this we know
NRpcell, NR pscell, NR scell: New terminology
Friends spcell = pcell + pscell.
But still for NR you can see spcell as terminology.
We 2 main hierarchy.
Serving cell config common.
Serving cell config dedicated.
Anyone notice spcell config mentioned there?
