XML files preparation for zero touch integration in Ericsson

I would like to know how the different people prepares the XML files for integration in Ericsson. Do they use any tool or they prepare it manually?

@amer1562, MS Excel template

Hi, could you please give more explanations how do you use excel in the xml preparation. Thanks

Hi, we have excel file with several sheets in it. First sheet is like a “form” with mandatory data: rbs name, ip addresses, ports, login, password, etc. Other sheets is a XML with excel formulas pointing to that form. The result is a autoprovisioning project for ENM and site installation file for local integration. It is not clear zero touch, because it is require dhcp and other stuff which is out of our network architecture.

@vlr9999 Could you please share sample excel macro…TIA

Just have a look at
[Ericsson Network Manager] [Auto Provisioning] [Add Node]
But I never use this. I just change the necessary parameters from another previous script

yes i am also using previous sites templates …not sure AP add node will help …
if we get any macro for script generation we can modify as per our requirement …instead of changing another script manually

I have a macro almost ready for that, but still I change every script manually.
After all, I have to change only 2 or 3 parameters like VLAN, IP address and node’s name.
Once comissioned, I delete radios and load the rest of right radio and transmission configurations. I think this is faster than trying to provide the perfect script to the field engineer.
Software upgrades it is still the most time consuming process anyway.

Yes we are also following same process , but after got remote connection it’s taking time to integrate

If we modify all mandatory parameters in script not only ip vlan
Radio links RF branch ,all radio related configs ,sector, cell it will be easy few sites I am doing like that if got time to work on script

In this case after remote connection established we no need to run anything except baselines parameters

one or 2 sites we can modify manually if bulk requirement can’t work in this process we can Give sif with ip and vlan changes

So I think better develop the tool instead of manual preparation

By ETC tool we can prepare but I don’t have access

If you do not have access to the ECT tool to run from your computer, there is a version (which is usually activated by default) that runs within the ENM, in the Auto Provisioning section.

It seems there’s a license in ENM for ECT tool to be activated in auto-provisioning in order to work, have you tried to use it in ENM?
