Hello All.
Did you knew that Ericsson will swap out Nokia from around 30K sites for AT&T in US?
Inside AT&T’s Nokia rip-and-replace with Ericsson
Months after signing their landmark deal, AT&T and Ericsson have started the work of replacing Nokia’s radios with those from Ericsson. Here is the inside story of that five-year, $14 billion project.

Yes, I knew that.
Some friends from Nokia are looking a job because of that.
Yes, but that project has been delayed for almost a year… maybe after elections will take off.
Yes, this is the reason they started job cuts.
Why that?
Is Ericsson’s performance better than Nokia?
Everything is commercial those days.
You do not know what deal Ericsson promised to AT&T. I do not know either
Not sure who really knows among us.
Maverick:
This is RAN revenue , might not reflect exactly market share .
Some vendors are able to squeeze more revenue than others for same number of sites.
I think yes.
I also believe Huawei is better than Ericsson.
Really?
But Huawei bonus are very high…

Consultant have more benefits than Staff.
The bonus is very high if you are Huawei employee.
If you are a contractor, it’s not that much.
I find out about that! It’s good to know
And not only the bonus, as Huawei staff you have many other benefits.
You have yearly bonus, monthly bonus, project bonus etc.
In several countries in Latin America, Huawei is top employer.
How is in Ericsson?
As a Consultant Ericsson was better.
But as I told you, I like Huawei tools better.

It was old news, Ericsson offered better ORAN solution (Which is not true).
Actual deal was purely commercial.
Its assumed that Ericsson will handle RAN services of At&T if they buy product.
Making it easy for AT&T to reduce their headcount and OPEX.
It means that AT&T might lose good engineers.
Ericsson is cutting jobs in Latin America, not too many projects.
Hopefully Ericsson should use remote man-hours from latín America to US projects.
Even in India Same Issues…

Same in Pakistan.
But I must say Ericsson has far better culture than Huawei.
Ericsson truly takes care of its employees well being, considers them asset and their core values are highly reflected in their culture.
So your mental health feels far better working with Ericsson.
